Hello and welcome to Back Alley Media.

Clown

Meet the Press’s David Gregory, interviewing White House advisor David Axelrod — Mark Sanford, “coordinated” press conference question on Iran, Michael Jackson… simply unwatchable.

UPDATE: Also unwatchable, Mitt Romney, being interviewed by Gregory, hitting all his talking points.

It’s nice to hear that stuff was unwatchable, because I didn’t watch it. I was traveling yesterday and away from TV, but my favorite Sunday show is now “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos. The panel format makes for some interesting exchanges at least.

I don’t mind Stephanopoulos, but for me, the most “watchable” of the shows is probably Fox News Sunday. Yes, the bias and all — which I find informative on its own — but they actually deviate from the standard script and format a fair amount. For example, last week, they had some blowhards talking about Iran, but put them on with a think tank policy expert on Iran, who informed listeners (tactfully) that the blowhards were full of shit. And because of their known bias, they will actually press Republicans with tough questions at times, and leave them stumped, as if “WTF, this is supposed to be a softball interview!”
